Zelenskyy Accuses Kharkiv of Having Chambers with ‘Tools for Electric Torture.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian President, stated in a Saturday speech that torture chambers and mass graves were found in Kharkiv after Russian troops had retreated. 

This revelation was made by Oksana Markarova, Ukraine’s Ambassador in the United States. She spoke to us during a Sunday interview. ABC News’s This WeekAs a result, “war crimes of huge proportions” have been committed by Russia since February.

Zelenskyy, a late Saturday video address, stated that more than 10 torture chambers had been discovered in Kharkiv’s liberated regions, in different cities and towns. CNN reported. “As the occupiers fled they also dropped the torture devices.”

Zelenskyy said that the Kozacha Lopan railway station contained rooms for murder and tools for electric torture.  

On September 11, Ukrainian forces retook Kozacha Lopan (a settlement located less than a mile from Russia’s border). AP reported

“There is already clear proof of torture, humiliating treatment for people,” Zelenskyy stated on Friday Statement. “Moreover, evidence suggests that Russian soldiers were close to the burial site and shot at it for amusement.”

A city located on the Donets River in Kharkiv Oblast, Izium, is trying to identify the bodies and civilians of around 450 people who were discovered in a mass cemetery. Kyiv Independent reported.

Reuters reportedSome of the bodies had ropes around their necks, and their hands were tied. 

Similar graves were also found in BuchaIn March, after the liberation of the city from Russian occupation, the bodies and remains of 116 people were found.
