You will recall when Paul Gascoigne ‘punched Deontay wilder’ before you see Tyson Fury imitate Muhammad Ali in the match against Francesco Pianeta

Paul Gascoigne continues to be a favorite character in Britain. Deontay wilder was his first opponent and he scored a clean left on him.

Ever the joker, the England and Tottenham legend managed to catch the American with a few decent shots to the head and body, but the American thankfully saw the funny side and politely declined Gazza’s offer to punch him.

Sporting bleached blond hair and rather audacious jacket, the former midfielder than made sure to give ‘The Bronze Bomber’ and quick kiss and a cuddle.

It was a wild weekend in Northern Ireland. John Fury and Wilder clashed at the weigh insAlso, he had a run-in avec Billy Joe Saunders at a Nando’s on the eve of the bout.

The fight itself was completely one-sided as the ‘Gypsy King’ breezed past his outmatched Italian to claim a unanimous points victory and set up a heavyweight title fight with Wilder in December.

Fury had a great escape from Pianeta a few months before that epic encounter.

The Brit then traveled to California in December, where he boxed brilliantly against Wilder. However, he was felled twice and controversially awarded an unofficial draw.

In February 2020, Wilder was knocked out by Wilder. The two men clashed in 2021 for the third time.

Fury won again and it seemed that he was going to retire.

Wilder said that he’s not finished with boxing, and that he will be back in action the first time since finishing his trilogy.

The 36-year old takes on Robert Helenius, Brooklyn, Saturday.

It is not yet confirmed whether ‘Gazza’ will be in the Fury corner for the fight or not…
