The World Anti-Doping Agency has banned Clomifene, a substance that is used primarily to treat infertility among women, but can also raise testosterone levels in men.

The fight will continue as it is, with both promoters and fighters wanting the fight to go ahead. Benn has passed all UKAD tests.

Eubank Jr’s promoter, Kalle Sauerland, even told talkSPORT that they had received medical advice telling them that clomifene is not a performance enhancing drug and should not give Benn any advantage.

With that being said, the British Boxing Board of Control are trying to put a stop to the fight, as they released a statement saying that it was ‘prohibited’ and both teams had been informed.

Carl Frampton, a former two-weight world champion believes that the fight should be cancelled and that any boxer failing a drug test should be barred from boxing for their entire lives.

“Boxing does itself no favours,” Frampton posted on Twitter. “There should be no grey areas.
