World Cup 2022 news round-up: Gakpo’s goals, Walker worries, Dybala a doubt

Players are stepping up, some are struggling — and others face a race against time just to make it to World Cup 2022 after the latest round of domestic action.

Netherlands forward Cody Gakpo sent out another notice of his talent in scoring and assisting for PSV Eindhoven, France’s Christopher Nkunku is on a hot streak with RB Leipzig in Germany and Canada’s Jonathan David added to his tally for Lille.

Keylor Navas would just like the chance to play — the Costa RicaParis Saint-Germain’s No 1 player has not yet played a minute this season, with Itaky keeper Gianluigi Donarumma their first choice.
