The 2022 FIFA Men’s World CupIt is all set to become history, without even the opening whistle being blown.
This year’s soccer tournament will take place in Qatar, making it the first time it has even been held entirely in the Middle East and the second time it’s ever been held entirely in Asia. It’s also the first time the tournament will take place in November and December, moving from the late spring and early summer due to the extreme heat that plagues the region that time of the year.
This will be the final tournament with 32 countries participating. The tournament will be 48 when it moves to North America in 2026.
The tournament’s opening match will be against Ecuador on Nov. 20. The match will start at Al Bayt Stadium, Al Khor.
For the complete group stage schedule, please refer to below. The group matches will take place from Nov. 20 through Dec. 2, with the largest match between the U.S.A and England taking place on Nov. 25, 25.
