The team didn’t make it out of the group stage in 2014 and only made it to the Round of 16 in 2018. The team could have been looking in from the outside this year, as they are surrounded by a difficult group in Japan, Costa Rica, and Germany.
Spain finished in the semifinals after four draws in the UEFA Euro. In World Cup qualifiers this year, Spain won six of their eight matches – led by Ferran Torres and goalkeeper Unai Simon.
