Wolverhampton Wanderers made Michael Beale their top target to replace Bruno Lage.
The Midlands club is expected to move quickly. Wolves and Queens Park Rangers are expected to make contact to discuss Wolves’ possible release.
The contact between the two clubs has yet to take place.
Beale’s contract is believed to include a release clause. All parties are aware that QPR will be playing Cardiff City tonight.
His work, reputation, and references are thought to have impressed wolves. He would be viewed as an exciting and progressive appointment that would break the mold of their previous managerial roles.
In June of this year, the 42-year old took over as QPR’s head coach. He led them to sixth place in the Championship.
Beale is also a highly respected coach.
