Win VIP tickets to talkSPORT’s World Cup Fan Zone in London this winter

talkSPORT are giving you the chance to win a pair of VIP tickets to our official Fan Zone for this year’s FIFA World Cup.

We’re taking over a huge indoor venue at the Leake Street Arches in London’s Waterloo, where we will bring you live screenings of every World Cup game.

Each week, we’ll be giving away two VIP tickets to come and join us at what promises to be the Best World Cup Party in London

All winners will have access to the VIP Area in talkSPORT Tavern, entry into the Fan Zone for any match they choose, and free drinks during the first half.

WIRELESS GROUPS COMPETITION RULES:

These terms and conditions are the competition rules (“Rules”) that apply to all competitions (“Competitions”) organised by or on behalf of Wireless Group Limited and all of its subsidiary companies (in each case, the “Promoter”). For the purposes of these Rules, the term “Promoter” shall also include (a) all radio stations operated by any member of the Wireless Group Limited, and (b) all agents, sponsors and event promoters involved in organising Competitions through or on behalf of any member of the Wireless Group Limited.

In addition to the Rules, other specific terms and conditions may apply to a particular Competition (“Specific Rules”). Such Specific Rules will be posted on the relevant Promoter’s website and will be deemed incorporated into these Rules. If there is any discrepancy between these Rules or the Specific Rules, the Specific Rules will prevail.

Entries agree to these Rules and any Specific Rules when they participate in a Competition.

The Promoter has the right to cancel, amend or suspend any Competition, these Rules, and any Specific Rules at any given time without prior notice. Any changes will be posted either within these Rules or the Specific Rules or on the relevant Promoter’s website. Without notice, the Promoter may issue additional terms and conditions that should be read together with these Rules or any Specific Rules.

Participation in Competition

To be eligible for the Competitions, each entrant must have reached 18 years old and reside in the UK.

The Promoter, its employees, agents, and officers as well as their families and employees, and any other party directly or indirectly connected with or involved in the Competition (including sponsors), and their families, officers and employees, and agents (as appropriate), are not eligible to participate in any Competition.

Only one entry per person is permitted per Competition, except where stated otherwise.

The receipt of your entry is not proven by proof of sending an email, making a telephone call or sending a post. Entry can not be accepted if it is lost, delayed, damaged or any other reason beyond our control.

If a Competition has an expiration date or time, all entries must reach the Competition before that date/or time. Late entries will be rejected.

Except where otherwise noted, one vote per person is allowed for competitions that involve a public vote to select the winner. Voting rights are granted to those who register an email address and use their legal name. Monitoring purposes may require that IP addresses of entrants be logged. If there are reasonable grounds to suspect that the vote has not been cast according to these Rules, or any Specific Rules it may disqualify it.

On-air Competitions do not automatically grant callers the right to take part. They will not always appear on-air according to the order they were called. The Promoter will not reimburse callers for phone charges incurred while they are on hold or on air. If the situation calls for it, the Promoter will only allow the selected person to answer the correct question to win.

The Promoter has the right to cancel, modify or terminate the Competition at any time. The Promoter has the right to declare null any claims or entries that result from a printing error or other error.

Entry

Participating in a Competition means that you warrant that all information provided is correct, current, complete, and accurate. The Competition entries must be original work by the author. Entries which are or in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion appear to be plagiarised or done by or with the assistance of a third party will be disqualified. All entries represent and warrant that they:

(a)    they have obtained all rights, licences, and permissions necessary, in writing, from any person who may have helped create and/or be featured in their entry

(b)    that their entry to the Competition (including any text, recordings, videos and photographs):

(i)    does not contain or feature any personal or private information about any person (including their name, contact details, a photograph of them and/or any other identifying information) without that person’s consent (proof of which must be provided to the Promoter upon request);

(ii)    does not contain any content that is defamatory, libellous, racist, homophobic, derogatory, pornographic, obscene, sexist, illegal, and/or otherwise inappropriate;

(iii)    does not include trade marks, logos, or copyright protected material which belongs to third parties without permission (including company names, music, photographs, motion picture or television programme clips or audio tracks, works of art, or images published on or in websites, television, movies, or other media);

(iv)    is not subject to any third party agreements and the Promoter will not be required to pay any sums to any third party as a result of the Promoter’s use (as set out in these Terms and Conditions) or the exploitation by the Promoter of the idea, video or other rights contained in any entry; and

(v)    does not contain any known virus, trojan horse, worm, trapdoor or similar software that may in any way infect or affect any of the Promoter’s hardware or software systems.

The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify any entrant who is found to have violated any of the Rules or Specific Rules or any other Terms and Conditions applicable to the Competition. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entrant who is rude, abusive, or threatens the Promoter or other entrants, or tamper or cheat with the Competition, or collude with others to enter the Competition.

The Promoter will not be held responsible for any injury, loss, damage or disappointment that any entrant may suffer as a result or entry into any Competition.

The Promoter shall not held responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line system, servers or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any e-mail or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to any entrant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in a Competition. Nothing shall exclude the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not be limited as a matter of law.

Prizes and winners

Except where otherwise stated, competition winners will be chosen randomly

Where winners are selected based on objective criteria, the judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter will make every effort to notify the winners and deliver prizes within 30 days after the Competition’s closing date. Failure to respond within the specified time or in writing may result in the prize notification being returned as undeliverable.

The Promoter will contact prize winners by phone if they are awarded Competition prizes. Details of the prize shall be printed on the event tickets. These Rules shall apply to ticket holders.

All competition prizes are subjected to availability.

Except where otherwise stated, all taxes, insurances and transfers, as well as spending money, are the sole responsibility for the prize-winner.

You cannot transfer or assign the Competition prize to another person. No cash alternative or alternative prize will be offered. If the Competition prize advertised is unavailable, the

The Promoter reserves all rights to substitute prizes.

Competition prizes are awarded at the Promoter’s sole discretion and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant. The Promoter has the right to ask entrants to prove their eligibility. The Promoter may award the prize to an ineligible winner and demand the return of any prizes already awarded.

Incorrect Competition prize details provided by third-party promoters will not be accepted as responsibility. The promotion of the prize does NOT imply endorsement of any third party supplier or other third parties involved in the Competition. All complaints and queries regarding the use of the prize are to be addressed to the third party supplier.

Data Protection and Publicity

The Promoter may require winners to participate in publicity or other promotional activities. The Promoter may use names, general locations, and photographs of winners and any recordings (audio or visual) of these winners in publicity or promotions. These photos, videos, and films can be used in any media and in any reasonable way for any purpose. All

Contest entrants consent to their name, hometown and other details being published on air and elsewhere as per regulatory requirements. Participants agree that their participation will be broadcast, recorded, repeated, and used in any other way by the Promoter, without any payment or expenses.

The Promoter will collect and process entrants’ personal information and it will be shared with the Promoter’s agents, affiliates and, if applicable, any third party prize provider (including those outside the European Economic Area).

Entries will not be used to send prizes or for other purposes than those stated in the entry form. Entry will be null if entrants fail to provide the required information in order to participate in the Competition. Personal information will be retained in accordance with the applicable privacy policy in place from time to time (see http://www.newsprivacy.co.uk/single/).

General

Wireless Group Limited and the respective businesses, agents, employees, sponsors and event promoters that they receive as a result winning or participating in any Competition are to be treated confidentially by all entrants.

Each Competition, including any Specific Rules and any matters related thereto, shall be governed exclusively by English law. All parties shall submit solely to the English courts.

Wireless Group Limited, its affiliates, programme producers and/or promoter can amend or withdraw any component of a contest, prize draw or poll for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control. Wireless Group Limited, its affiliates as well the programme producers and/or promoter are not responsible if you suffer any loss or damage from these occurrences.

THE “PROMOTION” RULES:

1.By participating, you agree to these terms and conditions (these Conditions). These Terms and Conditions will be accepted by phoning, texting, or emailing to participate in the Promotion. You can also complete and submit an entry form.  Promotional materials relating to the Promotion, including all information on how to enter the Promotion published by the Promoter (including on social media if applicable) or on the Promoter’s websites, also apply to the Promotion. These Terms and Conditions will prevail over any promotional terms.

Participation in the Promotion

2. Only residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Ireland) who are 18 years or older, with the exception of employees and agents of talkSPORT or the Promoter and any other person or entity connected to the operation or fulfillment of the Promotion (including third-party sponsors or promotional partners), and their associated, affiliated, or subsidiary companies and the immediate family and household members of such employees or agents.

3. The Promotion dates are 22nd September 2022 – 17th November 2022 at 23.59 (Promotion Period). All entries received after the Promotion Period ends will be null. Participants can make only one entry per person during Promotion Period. To enter, you must be at least 18 years old.

5. Not all entries must be submitted through the official entry process. The Promotion prohibits scripting, macros and any automated system for entering the contest. Entries made or appearing to have been made with such systems will be considered null.  All entries that are illegible, insufficient or fraudulent will be rejected. Participants are reminded that data charges may apply depending on how they access the internet.

Winners and prizes 

Winners will receive  two VIP tickets which grants access to the VIP area in the talkSPORT Tavern, entry to the talkSPORT Fan Zone for a match of their choice and free drinks for the duration of the first half

Only beer, wine and soft drinks are eligible for free beverages

Note: All guests and winners are responsible for their travel costs.

For prize redemption, personal details are required. 

8. In the event that, for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control (eg Covid restrictions) the Promoter is unable to award the prize as described in these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter reserves the right to award the replacement prize.

9. Participation in the Promotion means that participants accept that the prize will be awarded as-is and that neither the Promoter, nor any of its subsidiaries or affiliated companies make any representations about the prize.

Winner Announcement & Claim of Prize

10. Within seven days of the end the Promotion Period, the winners will be notified either by phone or via the other contact information provided to the Promoter. All efforts will be made in order to reach the winners within the stipulated time.

11. The Promoter may redraw an entrant from valid/correct entries received during the Promotion Period if the winner is unavailable or cannot be reached.

Callers will not be reimbursed by the Promoter for any telephone charges while they are on hold or on-air. If the situation requires, the winner will be the one selected to go on air. Within 7 days after being notified, winners will need to confirm their acceptance of the prize. The Promoter may award the prize to another winner if the winner does not claim their prize within the specified time or the winner is unable or unwilling to confirm acceptance of the prize. A prize winner cannot select tickets for a game that has been played less than 6 weeks after the competition deadline (17 November 23:59pm).

12. Within a reasonable amount of time, and no later than 28 working days after the prize has become available, the prize will automatically be confirmed.

13. For a list of winners (name and general location) please send a stamped self-addressed envelope by no later than 28 days after the end of the Promotion Period to the Promoter at: Promotions Department, talkSPORT, 1 London Bridge Street, London, England, SE1 9GF stating that you would like the winner details for the “TALKSPORT FAN ZONE” Promotion.

Publicity and data protection

15. The Promoter will collect and process participant’s personal information and it will be shared with the Promoter’s agents, affiliates and, if applicable, any third party prize provider (including those outside the European Economic Area). Participants will not be able to use the information they provide for any other purpose than that of the Promotion (including delivery of prizes) or as stated on promotional materials. 16. Participant’s names and general locations will be published or made publicly available if they are a winner of the Promotion in accordance with the regulatory requirements. In such circumstances we may also make free use of this information and participant’s photographs for publicity purposes both during this and future promotions by the Promoter or any of its associated or subsidiary companies. This includes making their name available on the Promoter’s websites and social media platforms.

This Promotion may require the winner or any guest to take part in reasonable publicity.

General

17. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding on the participants. No correspondence will take place.

18. Participants who fail to provide all the required information when they participate in the Promotion will lose their entry.

18. The Promoter has the right to ask participants to prove they are eligible. The Promoter can award the prize to another winner if they are found ineligible.

20. Participants are prohibited from doing anything illegal or dangerous that may put themselves and others at risk.  Save where it has been negligent, the Promoter will not be responsible for any damage, loss or injury resulting from participant’s entry into the Promotion or their acceptance and/or use of the prize, or for technical, hardware or software failures, lost, faulty or unavailable network connections or difficulties of any kind that may limit or prohibit participant’s ability to participate in the Promotion.  The Promoter cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost, damaged, delayed or defaced, incomplete, unreadable, or otherwise unreadable. The Promoter does not require proof of receipt of entries by phone, text or email.  Nothing in these Terms and Conditions shall in any way limit the Promoter’s liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence or for any other matter where liability may not be limited as a matter of law.

21. Wireless Group Limited, its affiliates and/or programme producers, and/or/or the Promoter, may modify or withdraw any element in a competition, prize drawing, poll or competition for reasons beyond their control. This includes but is not limited to strike, lockout, labour dispute or accident. Wireless Group Limited, its affiliates as well the programme producers and/or promoter are not responsible if you suffer any loss or damage from these occurrences.

21. If the Promotion is not possible to be conducted as intended, the Promoter may cancel, modify, or suspend the Promotion at any time. If there are more winners than prizes, the Promoter may: (a) cancel any claims or entries that result from such printing error; (b) draw another winner to determine the prize(s). Any participant who enters or attempts to enter the Promotion in a manner, which in the Promoter’s reasonable opinion is contrary to these Terms and Conditions or by its nature is unjust to other participants (including tampering with the operation of the Promotion, cheating, hacking, deception or any other unfair playing practices such as intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other participants or the Promoter and/or any of its agents or representatives) may be rejected from the Promotion at the Promoter’s sole discretion.

22. If such actions have seriously impaired the Promotion, then the Promoter may add additional stages to the Promotion if it deems necessary to address any issues arising from such actions. These Terms and Conditions may be amended by the Promoter at any time. Any amendments will be published on the Promoter’s website (the  “Website”).

23. These Terms and Conditions apply to all residents of the United Kingdom. The courts of England or Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction to hear any dispute, claim or action arising from the Promotion or these Terms & Conditions.

24. The promoter of this Promotion is talkSPORT Limited of 1 London Bridge Street, London, England, SE1 9GF (the “Promoter”).

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

25. Promotion closes 17th November at 23:59pm.  Only open to UK residents (excludes ROI), 18 years or older, with the exception of staff of the Promoter, affiliated companies, or promotional partners, or their families.

26. One entry per person Random selection will be made from all valid entries. There is no cash alternative or transferable prize. Except where you have agreed otherwise, your information will only ever be used for the Promotion and to provide third party prize providers with fulfilment purposes.
