Wild welcome back Kevin Fiala after ‘horrendous’ defensive showing

The return Kevin Fiala, the team’s biggest game breaker not named Kirill KaprizovIn the last few years, he has accumulated zero points (and a plus-3) through his two first games with the Kings. Fiala was dealt to Los Angeles in July because of cap constraints. It is not hard to imagine Fiala being motivated after the trade and the tough love that Dean Evason has shown them since their time in AHL.

“Kevin is a special player,” said Freddy Gaudreau, who has known Fiala since their time in AHL Milwaukee. “One of the most skilled players in the league.”

The Wild had trouble with the Rangers’ array of skill in Thursday’s 7-3 loss, and they spent Friday trying to address it.
