So, what are the ‘traditional’ weekend kick-off times?
We are not used to the kick-off times for Liverpool vs Leeds and Everton vs United games. Premier LeagueThese games have been held over the last few seasons. These games are usually held on Saturdays at 12:30pm, 3pm, and 5.30pm, Sundays at 2pm and 4.30pm, Fridays and Mondays at 8pm.
BT Sport customarily broadcasts the Saturday 12.30pm match, while Sky Sports shows all the others, bar the Saturday 3pms — which are protected by the English football blackout law.
What’s the reason behind the later kick-off times then?
BT Sport chose the Everton vs United fixture for their matchweek.
However, Erik ten Hag’s United side played a Europa LeagueOn the Thursday, they will play in a group stage against Omonia Nisia in Cyprus. Their match against Everton would be played in the usual BT slot. This would mean that there would be less than 48 hours between games.
