CHICAGO — Voting was naturally a group process, but the master of ceremonies for the White SoxPostgame ritual of awarding Randy Moss jerseys after wins to anointed pitcher or player of the match was performed by an energetic veteran infielder Josh Harrison.
“Decisions might be based on input from other people, but as far as the announcement, I was the one on the mic,” said Harrison. “It was just something to look forward to that gave guys a little extra edge to go out and play the game, play hard and see what we can make happen tonight that might be special.”
It may just make a.500 season less frustrating. But the most disappointing thing about a White Sox campaign marked by disappointment and lethargy was the tireless efforts to make it work.
