Although we don’t normally recommend black phones, the Phantom Black Galaxy S22 is a black phone done right. It shines in a brilliant graphite grey in the sunlight, but it becomes inky obsidian under shadow. Phantom Black is tall, handsome, and dark.

Graphite Samsung Galaxy S22+, S22+, S22 Ultra
Soft silver
This Graphite colourway isn’t as dark as previous Graphite Galaxy phone models, which is a very, very positive thing. The more gunmetal gray is subtle without being dull black. It has a soft sheen, and a sophisticated look. Although it might seem dull to some, the colors and finish here make Graphite shine.
Cream Samsung Galaxy S22 & S22+
Upgraded from the A-series
This soft, creamy yellow was featured on many A-series phones in 2021. However, it looks great on the S22+ and S22+ with silver camera/bumper colors. This bumper would have been easy to make look very gauche if it was in Rose Gold.

Burgundy is only available for the Galaxy S22 Ultra
The Galaxy S22 Ultra’s Burgundy is the pink/purple that I wish the regular S22 got, but Ultra users will still enjoy this delicious hue. It is making me think of the LG Chocolate. This colorway is a great choice for fashion-forward Galaxy lovers. We love how you can dress it up with accent cases or let the burgundy module shine alongside black, red and purple cases. It’s not the Very Peri Pantone Color of 2022 — Samsung’s Lavender S21 and Z Flip 3 were ahead of the colorful curve — but it can play well with a variety of cool and warm tones for a unique look.
