Viktor Larkhill, his rescue team and his dog walker were called to help a sick dog.
They found out that his mother was still with him, but had been lost. They found her curled up on an abandoned sofa in a nearby house when they started looking for her.
When rescuers got to her, she was so sick that she couldn’t even move. Because of a horrible skin disease, which left her scabbed-and-bleeding, her fur was gone.
She was literally on her deathbed and had given in. She laid down to her death knowing that her son was safe. It was the beginning of a new chapter for her.
Helen and Oscar were named by rescue workers who brought them to the hospital.
After months of treatment and special care, Helen and Oscar looked amazing. Their fur grew back, and their wounds were completely healed.
Helen was later adopted into a loving family. Oscar was also adopted.
