Which Pixels Have Photo Unblur for Google Photos
Photo Unblur is only available to Pixel 7 and 7 Pro at the moment. It’s an exclusive Tensor G2 chip. The original Google Tensor can be used by the Pixel 6, 6a and 6 Pro, but not Photo Unblur. It will be available on other Android phones and the Photos web app in the near future, we hope.
What is Photo Unblur?
The Pixel 7series is the new Tensor – G2Google claims that the chip has a next-generation Tensor Processing Unit, which Google claims is 60% faster when it comes to machine learning tasks. Because of that, it’s capable of performing AI-backed tasks in Google Photos that even the Pixel 6 cannot handle — like Photo Unblur.Â

What IsTensor G2 now uses a “cutting edge machine learning approach” to remove blurred faces and visual noise from the whole image. This tool can be used for any photo, no matter how old or what camera phone they were taken from.Â

To do this, however, you will need either the Google Pixel 7 (or) Pixel 7 ProSince the Pixel 6According to series’ TPU, it doesn’t have enough processing power for Photo Unblur.
Photo Unblur and Face Unblur
When you take a photo of an object that is moving quickly, the Pixel 6 automatically takes a parallel shot with both its main lenses and stitches them together. Google describes it as the combination of the sharpness and brightness of the main lenses and creating an ideal image.
The Pixel 7 will also do this automatically — only better, with its faster machine learning capabilities. Photo Unblur allows you to retroactively correct old Google Photos photos. An Unblur option appears in the Editing tools suggestions when you view a blurry photograph. You can also go into Tools to manually adjust the blurred image with a slider.
The Pixel 6 will only focus on your latest action photos with Face Unblur. It is impossible to make any changes to your photos.
