What about Season 2? Here’s what we know

Netflix’s WednesdayThe streaming service’s number one series is currently at the top of its top ten list. It has been well-received both by critics and fans since its debut last Wednesday. Netflix quickly canceled shows that were not performing well.

In an interview with VarietyMillar stated that there are already a few seasons of the show planned.

He said, “For us it’s always looking to the future. When we sit down and create a show it’s looking at multiple season, ideal.”

Millar added that while it was not something that could be expected, it is the anticipation of the show’s success. It is important to have at least three or more seasons worth of possible storylines for your characters. It can evolve and change.”

He also said that they have a “pretty clear runway” of what they want to do in future seasons.

“Miles and I are talking amongst ourselves about [what’s next for the series]. There’s definitely more that you can explore in the world of the Addamses,” Alfred Gough stated in an interview with Empire Magazine (via ScreenRant).

Speak to Collider Gough also said that Miles Millar has “laid out what a potential season 2 [of Wednesday} could look like” but that their ideas are still “fluid” as they are “open to see how people react to the first season.”

Given Jenna Ortega’s charismatic performance, it would be a shame that the show ends after its first season. WednesdayThe series’ unique take on the Addams family is quite refreshing. The series seems to have enough content to last a second season. However, Ortega seems ready to let go of the character if Netflix decides not to renew it.

In an interview with NME, the actress said, “I have no idea if we’ll come back. It could go on, but it could end. I think that’s what’s kind of nice about the show – we have the option.”

WednesdayOrtega is optimistic that the series will be renewed at least once more. However, it is a good thing to see her clear vision for the future of the series. It’s not that Ortega will be content if the show ends. She values her time as a character, no matter how short or long it takes. Wednesday‘s story.

Let’s just hope that this isn’t the last time we see her.
