As much as we’d want to believe that all rescue dogs are adopted by their forever families the moment they appear on adoption websites, the truth couldn’t be further from the truth. Leroy, for example, is one dog that has been searching 7 years for the perfect companion.
He must have found it difficult to spend his entire life in shelters. But @stephaniemunro7 from Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary provided him with a wonderful weekend. Our brief stay at a cabin on the lake was a wonderful opportunity to fall in love with each other.
Stephanie is a true angel for Leroy and will do anything for him. He deserves it so much! Even though this film has the potential for change, the good-boy has been in a shelter far too long.

“Where is Leroy?” was a question from commenter @mypetlights, but other viewers quickly made the connection. Dog Tales Rescue and Sanctuary can be found in King City, Ontario. It is approximately an hour north from Toronto. Leroy is available for adoption in the best situation due to his affinity for the lake. Just ask Stephanie—he’d be the coolest cabin friend ever!
