The U.S. navy carried out “self-defense strikes” towards Houthi missiles and a launcher ready to fireplace from Yemen towards the Pink Sea on Wednesday, U.S. Central Command introduced.
Between 12 a.m. and 6:45 p.m. native time on Wednesday, 4 self-defense strikes have been launched in response to seven cell Houthi anti-ship cruise missiles and one cell anti-ship ballistic missile launcher aimed on the Pink Sea, the company stated.
Additionally, in an act of self-defense, CENTCOM stated its forces shot down a one-way assault from an unmanned plane system.

The missiles, launchers and the unmanned plane system have been all decided to have originated from Houthi-controlled areas of Yemen.
CENTCOM stated they “introduced an imminent menace to service provider vessels and to the U.S. Navy ships within the area” and have been destroyed.

“These actions will defend freedom of navigation and make worldwide waters safer and safer for U.S. Navy and service provider vessels,” CENTCOM concluded.
CENTCOM and the State Division have been adamant in latest days about condemning Houthi aggression within the Pink Sea towards navy and civilian ships.

Previous to Wednesday’s self-defense strikes, U.S. and coalition forces have shot down 11 one-way assault unmanned aerial automobiles, one anti-ship cruise missile, and one surface-to-air missile launcher positioned in Houthi-controlled Yemen since Feb. 19, in response to CENTCOM bulletins.
