Under doctors’ orders, Tony La Russa will not be returning to White Sox in this year’s season

Tony La Russa won’t return to the management of the Chicago White SoxThis season.

La Russa was Expected to be available “indefinitely”.To see heart specialists earlier in the month

The team stated that the 77-year old’s absence would be “appointment”.These evaluations are still in progress.”

Miguel Cairo will continue to serve as interim manager for the remainder of the season.

The White Sox won this year’s AL Central but then lost to La Russa with a disappointing 63–65 record through 128 games.

After Cairo was elected, the Sox enjoyed a winning streak, winning 13 out of 19 games. Now, the Sox are on a losing streak of five games.

La Russa is currently the oldest league manager and will be under contract through next year. However, some fans have questioned La Russa’s decision-making throughout the season.
