Unai Emery is named head coach at Aston Villa

Aston VillaAfter holding crucial talks today, the team has appointed Unai Emery their next head coach.

Villa met with Emery on Monday and have paid the £5.25million release clause to prise the 50-year-old coach from La Liga side Villarreal.

Emery will be taking charge of his new side starting November 1. This means that he won’t be responsible for the trip. Newcastle UnitedThis Saturday. His first match against Villa will be the visit Manchester UnitedNovember 6,

Villa fired Steven Gerrard and had five other candidates on the list to replace him. Emery was also represented by Thomas Tuchel, Mauricio Pochettino and Ruben Amorim.
