Who decides how much a club will be fined by UEFA

Every four years, UEFA’s Executive Committee elect members to sit on the Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body.

They can rule on all matters disciplinary, ethical or otherwise that fall within their remit. The general rule is that they should reach decisions with all 16 members, but they may reach a verdict if only three or more members are present.

It is possible, however, that the chairman, one or more vice-chairmen of a member, or another member decides on their own and without any others.

Who is a member of the UEFA disciplinary committee?

Thomas Partl (Austria), serves as chairman. Jim Stjerne Hansen and Sandor Berzi, both from Denmark, serve as vice-chairmen.

The remaining 13 members include 10 men and 3 women. Bobby Barnes (ex-PFA chief executive) is the only English member. Aine Power (Republic of Ireland), and Neil Doncaster (Scotland), are also members.

Their term began in 2019, and is scheduled to end in 2023.

The majority of the members of the panel are white.
