Twitter U-Turns On WFH and Orders Employees to Return to The Office: Reports

Twitter’s remote working policy could soon be ended due to an impending layoff Axios reported on Thursday.

The social media giant plans to cut about 3,700 employees soon after Elon Musk’s $44 billion acquisition of the platform, Insider’s Kali HaysThis report was published on Thursday. About half of Twitter’s workforce was affected by this report as of September.

Axios, citing sources within the company, reported that Twitter will order its remaining employees to return full-time to the office after the cuts. According to the media outlet employees who must relocate to be near a Tweet office will have only 60 days to do it.

This is a significant move, since Twitter was among the first companies to offer employees the ability to work remotely permanently.
