Twitter Notifications not working? 7 ways to troubleshoot

  • You might need to enable Twitter notifications in your phone’s settings, or in the Twitter app.

You live in a fast-paced world, especially with social media. It can be difficult to get notifications about what you missed. It doesn’t matter if you are active on Twitter or just want to stay up to date with the latest news and posts. If your Twitter notifications stop working, it could be a problem.

There are many reasons why you may not receive your notifications. Here are seven common ways to get Twitter working again. These steps are simple to fix. 

Twitter notifications on your phone are disabled

Twitter notifications can sometimes be difficult to troubleshoot because there are so many settings. Start with the most probable one: Disable notifications from your phone for the Twitter app

Tap the button if you have an iPhone Settings App and then Notifications. Scroll down Twitter Tap it. Check the Twitter page to make sure Allow NotificationsSwipe the button to the left to turn on the phone. You can also customize the way notifications are displayed on your phone from another page.

Notifications in the Twitter app cannot be disabled

Even if Twitter notifications are enabled in your phone’s OS. The Twitter app has its settings. This is especially true if you don’t get notifications for certain types of Twitter activities.

Final, make sure to check both the Filters Preferences sections. Tap for instance. Filters Then and there Muted notifications. This will allow you to see if certain notifications have been turned off. Tap Next Preferences Then, follow by Push notificationsMake sure you turn on notifications if you do not want them.

You have set your phone to Do Not Disturb mode

If you have followed the above steps, your phone should be enabled for Do Not Disturb mode. It’s likely that you won’t get any notifications if the Do not disturb mode is on.

To see the Control Center on the iPhone, swipe to the right from the top of the screen. Look for the Focus button. If it says Do Not Disturb, Sleep, DrivingAnything else? FocusYour notifications might be being muted in large numbers. To disable this mode, tap the button. If you are using an Android phone, swipe down and see the shortcuts panel. Tap the icon to turn off this mode. Do not disturbIf enabled, press the button.

You can check to see if Twitter has a service disruption

Twitter is a reliable social media service. However, it occasionally has outages. If you don’t see any Twitter notifications, it could be because the service is offline. To check if the app is working as expected, you can open it and check if it does. Twitter’s status page at DowndetectorSearch for “Is Twitter down” using a Google search. If Twitter goes down, you will start receiving notifications once it’s restored.

Your Wi-Fi doesn’t work properly

The ability to receive notifications is dependent on your ability. High-quality Internet connectionIf your Wi-Fi has problems, notifications may be unreliable. The Wi-Fi status can be checked at the top right of your phone’s home page. If you’re not at home, turn on your Wi Fi router and restart it if necessary. But if you’re not sure if your Wi-Fi is working properly, the easiest solution — at least temporarily — is to simply turn off Wi-Fi and rely on your phone’s cellular service. Scroll down from the top of the screen to see the iPhone’s Control Center and the shortcut panel for Android. Tap the Wi-Fi Use the icon to disable it.

It’s also possible that the app is simply misbehaving and shutting the app down — and then restarting it — will solve your problem. Close Twitter first (here’s how). Clearing the Twitter app’s cache is necessary

You might also need to clear the data cache in Twitter to send push notifications. To make the app work again, clear the cache if it is corrupted. Clearing the cache of an iPhone app is the only way to do it. Deinstall the appYou can then reinstall the app from the App Store. You can also clear the cache of an Android device.
