Twitter Employee on Leave to Care for Son With Cancer: He Was Fired

  • One of the job cuts made by Elon Musk on Friday saw the loss of a manager at Twitter.
  • The news was received by Hernan Alvarez Loaiciga while he was on leave to care his son who is battling cancer.
  • LinkedIn was the place where he wrote that New Twitter had let him down just when he needed it most. 

Hernan Loaiciga, a Twitter employee who has been on leave for several months, is among the thousands who have lost their jobs. He isn’t on vacation. Instead, he has been caring for his cancer-stricken son.

Loaiciga LinkedIn: I wroteHe was let down by “New Twitter” “when I most needed it: while on leave to care for my son, who’s fighting cancer.

He said, “I’m certain we will get through this just as we’ve always done it since that’s who’s behind it.”

“Looking forward for the next opportunity, but most importantly, to get medical insurance as quickly as possible.”

Loaiciga is not the only one who’s been laid off due to difficult circumstances. A woman who is Eight-month-old woman is pregnantShe claimed that she was locked out from her laptop at work the night before the announcement of mass layoffs.

Twitter’s communication staff, which was heavily affected by the layoffs did not immediately respond to Insider’s request for comment.
