Trump Working Was Like Staying in an All-Inclusive Resort. Sondland Says

Gordon Sondland was once an ambassador to the European Union. He said that working for Donald Trump was great at first but quickly turned bad.

“Over the years, however, I realized that working alongside Trump was similar to staying at an all inclusive resort. In his forthcoming book, Sondland writes, “You’re excited when you first arrive but things start going downhill quickly.”The EnvoyHe recounts his experiences working for Trump. Sondland wrote that he didn’t mind the situation because it was part of a job like mine where you had to deal with the good and the bad. That meant having to put up with Trump’s insecurity.

Sondland was a key witness at Trump’s impeachment trial. DHe gave his explosive testimony November 2019 and he admitted that Trump’s team pressured Ukraine into digging up dirt on Hunter Biden — then-former Vice President Joe Biden’s son. Sondland claimed that there was a “quid pro quo” agreement with Ukraine. The Trump administration leveraged military aid to pay for the investigation into Hunter Biden.
