Florida Governor Donald Trump was finally bestowed his former presidency. Ron DeSantis was presented with one of his infamous nicknamesThe rising rivalry between the two popular Republicans signals that both could run for the GOP nomination as president in 2024,
Trump UsedThe nickname was given to him by his supporters at a Pennsylvania rally. He was speaking for Republican candidates such as Dr. Mehmet O, who is running for Senate against Democratic Lieutenant Governor. John Fetterman.
Trump was referring a poll which showed that he was ahead of other potential Republican nominees. He offhandedly called DeSantis, “Ron DeSanctimonious.”

Roger Stone, a longtime Trump friend and staunch opponent of DeSantis used the name in a post last week on Truth Social. Stone said that DeSantis’s 2024 run for the presidency would be “the most astonishing act of ingratitude or treachery in American politics,” and that Trump’s endorsement “made Ron DeSanctimonius Governor#ingrate.”
Trump and DeSantis have not announced any plans to run in the 2024 presidential election, although both are being rumored as potential candidates. Trump has given his supporters major clues that he will run and said they would be happy with the decision. DeSantis hasn’t denied it.
Reports suggest that there is a rivalry between them, with Trump being the one who has shown animosity. Trump shared videos and articles from Truth Social on multiple occasions. DeSantis would be demolishedIf he runs against the former President.
