Trump had conflicting ideas about his approach to COVID. Haberman Book

Maggie Haberman, New York Times White House correspondent, wrote that former President Donald Trump had different approaches to the coronavirus epidemic.

Haberman is also a CNN political analyst. She has extensive reporting about the former president. Haberman, in her book “Confidence Man,” reported that Trump would tell White House staffers to remove their masks in 2020. This was at the height the pandemic. Trump once said, “Get that Fucking Thing Off,” Haberman wrote.

Haberman reported that the former president sought credit for COVID-19, however, arguing that the “radical left” was blocking the process.

According to the report, Haberman wrote that Trump would discourage White House officials from discussing the pandemic in public, while downplaying how serious it is. 

The Post, pointing to Haberman’s book, added that Trump did so because he believed the virus was “a political loser for him.”

Reuters reportedHis October 2020 approval rating dropped 22 points, to 37%, a record low. The public was unhappy with his handling of the virus.

Trump told Ronna McDaniel of the Republican National Committee, “Don’t talk about it”; however, the Post reported that Trump said this to McDaniel. The Post cited Haberman’s book.

The report stated that the MAGA President is also included in the report. Who has claimed? that he “did a great job” tackling the issues brought on by the pandemic, also told Andrew Cuomo, the former New York Governor, not to “make such a big deal out of this,” per Haberman’s book.

He said, “You’re going to make it a problem.”
