Trump Calls DeSantis’ Endorsement by Anti-Trump Republican a Big Mistake

Trump, the former president, responded to reports that Florida governor. Ron DeSantis, who endorsed Joe O’Dea for the anti-Trump Republican nomination, took to his Truth Social platform on Sunday evening and said it was “A Big Misstake.” 

DeSantis recorded an advertisement by robocall for O’Dea, promoting the candidate as the best choice for Senate in Colorado.

America desperately needs strong leadership. This is why I support Joe O’Dea for the US Senate. Colorado, please vote Joe O’Dea,” DeSantis said in the recorded message. O’Dea has posted on Twitter.“I have watched Joe from afar. I am impressed.

 

O’Dea is a candidate from the center-right. He voiced disapproval for TrumpHe had previously stated that he would Trump is not what you want to be president again.

O’Dea stated, “I believe that seeing a Biden–Trump rematch again 2024 would rip apart the country,” “The Ross Kaminsky Show.”August. “I think that a lot of people want to move our nation forward. Therefore, I would not support him running again.”

Trump on Monday O’Dea was called a “RINO”or a Republican in name only, and discouraged his supporters to vote for him in general elections. 

“MAGA doesn’t Vote [sic]For stupid people with large mouths. Good luck Joe!” Trump wrote about O’Dea on Truth Social.

O’Dea currently competes against Michael Bennet, the incumbent Democratic senator from Colorado. Bennet leads by 7 percentage points. According to a Marist CollegePoll starting Oct. 11.

FiveThirtyEight predictsBennett will win the Senate race on November.

O’Dea beat Ron Hanks in the primary election, a pro Trump candidate, and has been supported by prominent Republican politicians George W. BushHe had previously condemned the Jan. 6 riots. 

As speculation grows that Trump and DeSantis could be running for president in 2024, a silent war is brewing. DeSantis has been an icon More and more popular among Republicans, while Trump seems to be going after the Florida governor by Behind closed doors, insult him.

Insider’s request for comment was not immediately answered by representatives for Trump and DeSantis.
