Fox News host Trey Gowdy slammed Rep. Cori B. Bush’s (D-Mo.) attempt to double-down in his “defund the Police” campaign on “Fox News.”Sunday Night in America.”
TREY GOWDY It’s a hard job being a policeman, even if you get home safely. It’s not a good job. The hours can be long. Some people don’t like to see you. You don’t need a gun and a bulletproof vest to get the job done. Political rhetoric has made it more difficult to do the job.
It was a few years ago. Defund the policeIt was all the rage. Some politicians and people on the left believed that getting rid of the police would make it safer. The media believed it to be lunacy, but they bought it. Defund the police. The voters didn’t like the idea because they know that we will continue to need police for as long there are people who violate the law and disregard the well-being, life, and property of others. Because of the human condition, government exists.

At least in theory, we have media because the human condition has limitations. Because the human condition is flawed, we have borders, doors, locks and militaries. Some left-leaning politicians want to cut funding for the police, despite all this. Instead of calling a police officer if someone enters your home, they suggest that you call a counselor, psychologist, or life coach.
Logically, defunding police was a disaster. Politically, it was even worse. So the smart politicians of the left realized we needed to stop talking so stupidly about defunding police. It’s stupid and there are not enough. Arsonists or protestersNew York Times reporters, discussing defunding the police to win elections. Most people stop talking about it. They forgot to tell Cori Bush.
