Hsieh left no will. His estate has been a matter of contention since his passing. Richard and Andrew Hsieh — Tony’s father and brother, respectively — claim friends and business associates took advantage of the tech exec, while business manager and friend Tony Lee assert Andrew used his brother for money, per the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

Andrew Hsieh was appointed co-administrator of Tony’s estate by lawyers in the summer 2020. The Review-Journal reported that Andrew Hsieh had written in the filing that his brother tried to quit using drugs and would make “quiet trips” to get Tony away from those who were “exploiting him” and enabling his continuing decline.

According to KTNV Andrew Hsieh was offered a $1million salary to care for his brother. Andrew Hsieh requested that his brother be given “vitamins” and protein supplements, KTNV reported. He was becoming more emaciated.
