The NFLFined Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady$11,139 for kicking Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jarrett in Sunday’s game, reports ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Jarrett punched Brady on the third down with just three minutes remaining. Was called to rough the passer. It appeared Brady attempted to kick Jarrett as they both got up, but the veteran QB didn’t make contact.
Instead of forcing the Bucs punt from near the midfield line, Brady and his offense were able to take a first down at Atlanta’s 32 yard line. Atlanta had the chance to win the game with this play.
