Liszka was a dog that spent her first year of life in awful conditions. Her luck eventually came but many were unsure how she survived.
Her owner kept her locked in a small cage and wouldn’t let her go. Poor puppy had to pee and sleep on her feces. A neighbor contacted OTOZ Animals about saving the poor furry puppy.
The rescue team came to the scene and was very sad when they saw Liszka’s predicament. Apparently, this isn’t the first time the owner has faced charges for the unfair treatment of animals.
“She’s lying down, waiting for her life to end,” said one of the rescuers from OTOZ Animals.
The man refused the dog’s release and it became so stressful that rescuers had no choice but to call the police. After some persistence, the lovely dog finally got out of his cage.
“The owner was so crazy that he didn’t want to let go of the dog. We had to call the police,” said Sylwia Zajac of OTOZ Animals.
Liszka panicked whenever someone approached her. It was clear that they never gave her any affectionate gesture and the ‘fur baby’ looked very confused.
The rescuers were devastated when the dog attempted to take its first steps.
The dog couldn’t remember how to walk and her legs were so weak she needed therapy.
Liszka was transformed after weeks of hard work and dedication. Liszka had gained trust in humans and was able to recover from her muscle spasms. This adorable fur baby loves to go for walks or even run.
Liszka also found a new family. The days of Liszka in the cage are over. She can now experience the calm atmosphere, love, and affection from her family.
It’s a shame to know that anyone could hurt so many innocent little animals.
This case is yet another example of the hard work that rescue teams do. We must speak up and demand justice. All those responsible for the suffering of these helpless animals must be held accountable for their cruel actions.
