They adopt a dog with terminal cancer and make his last months of life the most joyful.

Rooselvet was a pitbull dog with a very sad expression and was very lonely. His owners had left him at Chicago Animal Control with a note justifying his abandonment.

“He has problems urinating”.

Kelly Michael and Sarah Launch were shocked to meet the dog. They wanted him to be freed from his sad, cold confinement as soon as possible.

“I watched him relax quietly in his cage while all the other dogs barked and jumped to get my attention. He looked so sad and tearful”, Sarah wrote on Facebook.

“His teeth were totally crushed, probably from eating rocks or trying to escape from his cage. We felt helpless and sad for him. We immediately tried to find a foster home for him so that we could get him out and get him healthy”, she added.

Fortunately, with the help of the organization “One Tail at a Time”, they were able to take him home.

He didn’t know how comforting it is to be hugged.

Unfortunately, Roo was diagnosed with bone cancer at the end of his life.

They decided to give Kelly a family and make her last days happy. Kelly and Roo would stay with Kelly until her final days.

Roo doesn’t know that he is sick, so he acts like a normal dog.

They spoil him a lot. He is extremely happy!

They made a list of Roo’s last wishes. He was able to swim in a lake for his first time, fulfilling one of his last wishes. He had ice cream, got therapeutic massages, and even ate at Taco Bell.

The possibilities are endless, but Roo is a huge fan of every treat.

His time may be short, but his love does not limit. Roo is a life lesson that these girls have been so supportive of has made them a lifetime treasure. This is why they created a page to honor Roo’s name and have made #LiveLikeRoo (Live Like Roo) a viral hashtag.

“People have sent me direct messages and fans have invited us to their lake house. Now all the owners are doing things with their dogs”.

Relaxing like a baby.

Sarah explained that although they try to be positive and optimistic about Roo, they also know that the journey is not easy.

They discovered the wonderful part of their story despite a terrible prognosis. The best way to confront it was to give her lots and lots of happiness in her final days.

This is the definition of true happiness.

“Even if we have known him for such a short time, the mere thought of having to put him down at some point makes us cry”.

“Although Roo is only a few months old, we hope that #LiveLikeRoo will inspire everyone now and forever”, Read the Facebook page.

This tribute shows you how Roo lived every minute of his final days. It’s hard not to cry!
