These 7 questions are the core of the second season of House of the Dragon.

The long wait has begun.

House of the DragonSeason one of the fiery seriesThe tension reached a tense close on Sunday with the possibility of civil war intensifying. An unfortunate mid-air collision between angry Dragons.

The Hightowers and Rhaenyra are at each other’s throats, both sides are already making tactical moves, and – to put it plainly – everything in Westeros is about to kick off.

However, we are still left with the memories of ending on such a dramatic cliffhanger from Targaryen history. Questions. So many questions. We won’t be in a position to answer all of them, but we will try. Season 2We’re here to help you find the best ones.

1. What will Rhaenyra do now?

There are many decisions to be made.

Rhaenyra stares into the camera in an angry, tearful final shot. You can see that Rhaenyra has just heard the news about her son Lucerys’ death. Her expression shows that all previous attempts at peaceful compromises have been abandoned. But where does she go next?

The finale answered part of this question. Rhaenyra is already making moves. She sent her oldest son Jacaerys with the Northern houses to try to win more allies. Rhaenys will head out to the Narrow sea to provide air support for Lord Corlys and patrol the waters on dragon back. We can guess that these plans will continue, but Rhaenyra is not going to take any prisoners. It will be a “scream Dracarys, ask questions later” type of deal. We think she will be following Daemon’s advice to recruit as many wild dragons as possible. More on this later.

2. Which Houses will be on Rhaenyra’s side?

Friends or foes?

Without allies, you can’t win wars. The finale shows Rhaenyra discussing with co. which Houses in Westeros may want to side with them. This leads to Rhaenyra’s children going off to meet Houses Baratheon and Stark.

Lucerys discovers that House Baratheon is a sham. Dead end. Also, the Lannisters are a no-go. What about the Starks and the Arryns? The good news is that Lady Jane Arryn, Rhaenyra’s cousin, is Aemma’s mother. Rhaenyra states in the finale that “The Vale won’t turn cloak against their kin.” We know this from the good old Game of ThronesThe Starks are known for being honorable and exemplary in their conduct these days. Episode 1 featured Lord Rickon Stark swearing allegiance Rhaenyra. So, providing his son, Lord Cregan, follows in the traditions of his House, Jacaerys may have more luck as an envoy than his brother did — and Rhaenyra may find a valuable ally in the North.

According to Daemon, the Riverlands are “key”, and he last heard that he was going to visit them. Rhaenyra said that Lord Grover was fickle and easily swayed. This one could be either way, it sounds.

3. Will Daemon hire more dragons?

How many big teeth do you have?

Rhaenyra is attempting to help her allies, but Daemon also has another goal in mind: To get more dragons. The finale We see him traversing beneath Dragonmont on Dragonstone. There he encounters Vermithor. One of the three “unclaimed dragons” he mentioned earlier in the episode is -. The others are Silverwing, which is also on Dragonstone, and Seasmoke – Laenor Velayron’s old dragon – which is on Driftmark.

He will be trying to get as many dragons as he can in season 2. But is he likely to be successful? Early signs suggest that he is on the right track. Daemon sings High Valyrian for Vermithor when he meets Vermithor. doesn’tHe should immediately be covered in flames and bitten to the head. This seems like a solid starting point. A foreshadowing scene in season 1 suggests that Rhaenyra will receive at least one more dragon. Back in episode 6, there’s a scene where Rhaena Targaryen – the daughter of Daemon and Laena – expresses her disappointment at not having a dragon. The response of her mother? Her mother’s response?

It is no accident that Rhaena’s face is shown in the final when Daemon talks about unclaimed dragons. Perhaps she will be the one to ride Vermithor.

4. Will Alicent’s father, Otto, become irritated?

No love lost.

To get to the top, you have to depend on some very ruthless people. Alicent was made to serve as her father’s pawn over a period of time, and she says in the final that she sees him as who he is. They’ve already clashed over tactics – Alicent wanted to send terms to Rhaenyra, while Otto favoured killing her outright – which resulted in Larys Strong offering to take out the White WormAlicent (a powerful King’s Landing informant), in order to cut Otto’s information source.

The question is ” Will Larys double-cross Alicent? Is it possible for her to have a better relationship with her father than the one she has now?

5. What about a rift between Rhaenyra’s and Daemon’s?

The cracks are beginning to show.

Rhaenyra and Daemon’s marriage is a sad example of frayed relationships. In the final episode, Rhaenyra’s desire to be aggressive clashes with her desire to keep her cool. This leads to an unfavorable scene where he chokes her when she tells him about her relationship with Daemon. Prophecy of the Song of Ice and FireHer father passed it down to her.

The impending war will bring them together or drive them apart. The final shot of Rhaenyra gives the impression that she is done playing nice, as we have already mentioned. It could be that she and Daemon are closer to agreeing on how to deal with the Greens. Daemon is naturally revenge-oriented. It’s hard to call, however. Fundamentally, Rhaenyra, while she can be ruthless and impulsive, isn’t nearly as impulsive or as daring as Daemon. It is easy to see them having more disagreements in a conflict setting, especially since Daemon might have a problem with authority and refuse to follow her orders.

6. The Triarchy will form a temporary alliance to the Greens.

The Crabfeeder is gone, but Triarchy still lives.

The only threat from outside was the Free Cities House of the Dragon season 1, with the pesky Triarchy constantly attempting to take over the Stepstones — the archipelago stretching across the Narrow Sea between Westeros and Essos.

Daemon defeated them by defeating CrabfeederIn the midst of the season, Lord Corlys just returned from defeating them again and establishing complete control over the Narrow Sea. The thing is, though, the Triarchy are clearly still out there — and they’re not going to be happy about being beaten back.

Is it possible for the Hightowers in season 2 reach out to them in an attempt to establish a temporary allegiance? This might not seem impossible, given that Daemon, Lord Corlys and the Hightowers led the battle against them.

7. What is happening beyond the Wall right now?

What does the Night King have to say these days?

What season 2 will look like? House of the Dragon – or any future season, for that matter – take us beyond the Wall? Although it’s impossible to predict, the There are frequent mentionsof the Song of Ice and Fire prophecy.he maybe-accidental-maybe-not similarity between Aemond’s sapphire eye and the White WalkersIt is possible with a few simple steps.

We know the Night King was made by the Children of Men many thousands of years ago, so he’s currently out there somewhere — whether or not he makes a cameo, though, especially with the action so focussed on King’s Landing, is difficult to predict.
