Lana, the canine called “the saddest dog in the world”, is homeless again– and she might be put to sleep if she does not find someone to take her in. A 2015 photo of Lana in despair in her kennel became viral.
During that time, the family who adopted the shelter pooch returned her back, making her also sad to go on walks “It’s nearly like her world closed down,” Dahlia Ayoub of Mighty Mutts.
Lana snapped at Lana’s human mother, which was the reason they gave her back to shelter. The dog’s memories of being the runt of the litter might have triggered the urge to protect her food. But the sanctuary was able to find someone who would give Lana a second chance and Lana was adopted. That was up until recently.
” Lana’s adoption did not work out because people want a dog they can pet and have fun with,” claimed Brenda Dobranski, founder of Rescue Dogs Suit. “Lana is a ridiculous fun girl but she is not the kind of dog that will let you provide belly rubs …”.
The dog can go to sleep until May 20, but she must be present by May 20. Do you have the heart to accept Lana as the unique dog she is? Can you make ‘the world’s saddest dog’ pleased again?
Back in 2015, a photo of Lana, ‘the saddest dog on the planet’ went viral.
The shelter dog was adopted by people at the time, and she was too upset to take walks.
Lana found shelter and was offered a second chance by kind people. This seemed to be the happy ending.
She was later homeless and needed to be taken care of so she wouldn’t die.

This doggie has been through so much that she needs someone patient to help her learn to trust again.
Lana will have to wait until May 20 before she can be put into sleep.
The scared dog needs to be loved for who she is.
