The PlayStation Win-A-Thon Tournament begins December 1st

PlayStation gamers will soon be able compete against each other in ladder tournaments to win clout, prizes and more starting on December 1st. Dubbed the “Win-A-Thon,”The ladder tournaments for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 are available from December 1st through January 31st. You can enter via the Events page of each console.

Sony seems to have made it very easy to use this feature by placing it front and center on the homescreen. After all, new features don’t mean much if you can’t find them (RIP Accolades).

The ladder and overall ranking are separated by the region you’re playing in, with ranking determined by total number of wins and placement in the ladder for a specific tournament in either the sports or fighting game categories. The tournaments will be at different times, and may include different games in order to attract as many players as possible.

To compete, you will need a PlayStation Plus account and a gaming console. Besides that, there’s no cost to enter, so you technically have nothing to lose except your pride. But if you’re interested in potentially getting schooled, you still stand to win some decent loot.

The PlayStation 5 has a chance to win prizes such as a DualSense Edge Wireless Controller, or a Pulse3D wireless headset. The prize pool for PlayStation 4 gamers is the main draw, with the top four winners earning a PlayStation 5.
