Satterwhite stated that the shooting took place during an argument on Tuesday at 1:45 pm. The body was not found by authorities until Tuesday evening.

Satterwhite stated that officers did not initially know anything about the toddler until they began investigating the shooting. His mother was the one to realize this. PoliceSatterwhite stated that at 6:36 p.m., she reported that her husband and son were missing.

Satterwhite claimed that authorities would have liked to know more about the toddler when they began investigating.
He stated, “Nobody would wish more than me that they could have had more then that they could have found this child in the time that we did.”
