- Tecno unveils the first dual prism telephoto camera in the industry, boasting the largest tilt angle.
- The Tecno Eye Lens setup promises enhanced video stabilization when moving objects are shot through rotation of the two prisms.
- It will be available for purchase at Tecno smartphones, which will debut in 2023.
Smartphone cameras have made great strides in sensor size and telephoto capabilities. However, image stabilization still needs to be addressed.
Tecno aims fill this gap by providing the first dual-prism periscope cameras in the market with real tracking and shooting capabilities.
Tecno unveiled the Eagle Eye Lens technology from Tecno. This camera system uses two prisms in order to track and photograph a moving object, while minimizing handshake. The system will produce a stable image or video that is more stable than any standard telephoto camera equipped with OIS such as the Xiaomi 12T Pro. OnePlus 10 Pro.
“The lens’s internal rotating dual prisms allow for ultra-stabilization angles that can reach as high as 6 degrees on each side of the positive and negative axes,” Tecno explains. “The two prisms can tilt uniaxially by +/- 8°or +/- 10°resulting in a combined uniaxial tilt range of +/-16° in the short side direction and +/-20° at the long side direction for the image, which allows them to intelligently track moving objects in the image.”
A moving object will occupy the center area of the telephoto lens’ viewing area. However, there are many other things that can be done to make the telephoto lens more useful. best Android phonesDigital technology can be used to keep the object at the center of your frame.
Tecno claims that the lens can be used in conjunction with an optical stabilizer to produce sharp, clear shots of moving objects. This can be useful for shooting at sporting events like F1 racing.
“The Eagle Eye Lens can solve the enduring issue of telephoto lens’s limited view when capturing sports videos like the F1 racing,” said Jimmy Hsu, deputy director of Tecno Image R&D Center. “Rather, cutting-edge equipment can detect, detect, and capture the racing automobiles’ rapid movement most effectively.”
Tecno plans to include the lens on its next-generation smartphones, which will be released next year. The company has stated that it won’t license the system to any other manufacturers. This means that the camera setup will not be made available to all users due to the limited availability of Tecno handsets.
