Arguably, you shouldn’t buy the 2021 Apple TV 4K for more than $80 — the $130 2022 Apple TV 4K runs on a significantly newer processor for faster navigation and app performance. This will ensure that it lasts longer than the 2021 model.Â
However, that doesn’t make the 2021 Apple TV 4K a poor media streamer. It supports all the most popular video and audio standards such as Dolby Vision, HDR10 and Dolby atmos. It is missing one standard, the 2022 model. HDR10+It uses an older A12 processor. The remote works the same as the older model, but the newer version uses USB C to charge. The 2021 model is fast and delivers great sound and video.
