Team India gifted the nation a remarkable Diwali gift.
The T20 World Cup 2022 game between India & Pakistan took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia on Sunday October 23, 2022.
Pakistan was defeated by Team India in the group match of ICC T20 World Cup, giving India a beautiful pre-Diwali present.
Although the match between the countries was close, cricket fans were kept on their toes. However, India won the match by four wickets.
Team India made the winning run of 160 with Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya’s partnership being hailed the most. The team was back in the game after India lost 31 to four.
Virat, also known as King Kohli by his fans, scored 82 runs on 53 balls. He had 6 fours and 4 sixes in each of them. Hardik Pandya scored 40 runs on 37 balls. They both hit 1 and 2 sixes respectively.
Virat Kohli is the hero of India’s epic victory over arch-rivals Pakistan by winning four wickets in a match that was televised worldwide. His innings were hailed as some of his finest T20 runs.
Following the win, fans and Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Anushka, Abhishek, Farhan Akthar and Sourav Ganguly, sent in tributes.
Shah Rukh Khan aka King Khan took to Twitter and wrote, “So good to see a great game of cricket. It was so wonderful to see India win. So brilliant to see Virat Kohli batting….and so inspiring to see him cry and smile….and the background score of Chak de India!! Happy Diwali!!”
