This week thousands attended the largest jiujitsu tournament in Chile, held in Valparaiso. This competition aimed to measure the contestants’ strength, speed, and agility as they battled for first place.
It turned out, however, that the most memorable moment was provided by a sweet peacekeeper.

One game saw an unidentified dog standing on the sidelines, intending to stop what it believed was unbridled aggression by spectators.
Uncertain of the dog’s origin, the spectators quickly expressed their appreciation for the touching interruption as the referee led him away.

Even fighters who were fighting the pup when he arrived smiled.
The struggle for dominance and sheer strength was replaced with something sweeter: the unconditional love and care that only a dog can give.

Francisca Silueta (a bystander who captured the video) would never forget it.
“Suddenly, all the eyes were staring at this dog, and all the competitors had to stop. Everybody started clapping,” Silueta said. “It was like the dog had won first place.”
