Sununu laughs at Trump’s potential presidential bid announcement

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu laughed at the possibility of ex-President Donald Trump announcing that his candidacy for office is in the coming weeks. 

DuringInterview with CBS’ Face the NationModerator Margaret Brennan asked Sununu whether Trump’s White House bid would impact the GOP. 

“What does it do for our party?” He responded, “None.” “First of all, announcing that you are going to run for office in the middle of an election and Christmas is a horrible idea. But one thing I can assure America is that we will all be happy either way that Tuesday comes.

He stated, “Everyone is going to want a break and reengage their families and deal seriously with some really serious problems.” Then politics comes back in the mix in early 2023.

Trump assured his supporters that his announcement for 2024 would be made at a Saturday rally just before the midterm elections. “Very, very, very short time”.” According to AxiosThe team of the ex-president is hoping to announce it on November 14.  

Sununu explained to Brennan, “Whether President Trump decides or not to run it’s not going make any difference in terms the fact that eight to maybe twelve other candidate jump in the race.” “He doesn’t keep anybody out the race.”
