‘Succession’: Logan Roy and the Rebel Alliance continue their battle in season 4’s trailer

SuccessionThe show returns with season 4, and tension is high between the Roy families. Variety. “I’m a hundred feet tall. These people are pygmies,” Logan Roy (Brian Cox) says in the teaser that was aired on Sunday.

The trailer shows the “rebel alliance”, a term for the “new gen Roys”, who assemble together as Kendall (Jeremy Strong), Shiv (Sarah Snook) and Roman (Kieran Culkin) are aiming to bring down their father, who has removed them out of Waystar Royco. There is also Tom’s (Matthew Macfadyen) resolution following his betrayal in Season 3, as he asks Shiv, “Do you want to talk about what happened?”

The official logline for Season 4 reads: “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skarsgård) moves ever closer. The possibility of such a major sale triggers existential angst among the Roys, as they envision their lives after the deal is closed. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.”

This time, Cox, Strong, Snook, Culkin, Alan Ruck, Macfadyen, Nicholas Braun and J. Smith-Cameron, with Skarsgård as Matsson, are a part of the cast. Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoë Winters and Jeannie Berlin, are also a part of the upcoming 10-episode season.

Variety, a little earlier reported that the Roys will visit Matsson’s hometown in Norway. Scott Ferguson, the producer, confirmed later that the show was shot in many locations in western Norway including the Atlantic Ocean Road and the Romsdalen Gondola.

“Norway is a glorious, natural setting. It immediately seemed like a perfect place for a family gathering in the series,” Ferguson told Variety. “We studied different countries, but we realized Norway just has this exceptional landscape — like nowhere else in the world.”

As of right now Succession It will be available in 2023.
