Stray Puppy Finds the Hero He Needs to Survive at Naval Base

This dog walks into the base and into this Commander’s heart. He wants to take this dog with him Stateside. Paws of War is ready to assist in making that dream a reality.

There are many abandoned dogs and cats all over the globe.

Some animals are lucky enough be adopted and saved by loving families. Others are rescued and placed into shelters. Then there are the abandoned cats and dogs that wander the streets every day, trying to survive by avoiding bad people.

Sometimes they’re lucky and get rescued, and sometimes, they’re not so lucky.

A six-month old stray puppy ran into a U.S. Naval base. U.S. The U.S. Naval Command saw him and immediately knew that he would not survive this dangerous environment.

They had a motto in their base, “Those who arrive alive, leave alive,” and he knew that motto applied to this little dog as well. He grabbed the puppy and made it his own.

He was finally named Griffon and everyone loved him.

Griffon was the first to be discovered by soldiers and staff. He was a charming character with cute antics and a cute smile.

Griffon was a star.

Concerning the U.S. Griffon, the U.S. Naval Commander, formed a special bond with him and they became a family. Griffon was always there to follow the Commander wherever he went. Griffon was his family member, so the Commander knew that Griffon would be returning to the States when it was time.

That task wasn’t going to be easy or cheap either. The Commander recognized he needed help and reached for the War-Torn Pups and Cats Program, Paws of War.

Paws of War is aware of this fact and has dedicated its services to helping active soldiers bring their pets home Stateside.

“It’s not cheap. There’s a lot of quarantining involved,” Robert Misseri of Paws of Wars explained. “[There is an average cost of] $3,500 to $7,500 depending on the medical quarantine, depending on where they are in the Middle East.”

They’ve done this service to hundreds of veterans and even more dogs and cats, who have become service and support dogs for the veterans.

Now, they do this service for U.S. The Naval Commander, who wishes to remain anonymous, will bring Griffon home with his family.

“Griffon is a super pup. He loves all dogs he meets, and he loves to eat. He is doing great,” Gary Baumann, Paws of War spokesperson, stated. “We hope to have a reunion soon. The commander is from Maryland and has a wife and kids to welcome Griffon home.”

They are a non-profit organisation and have been reaching out through their website to other animal lovers and their followers to fund the transfer.

To help the dog get reunited with Commander and begin living with new family members, over 40 people have contributed between $10-$100.

Paws for War provides a great service to military men and women who are looking for a home for the animals that they fell in love with. If you’d like to help them with their lifesaving work, consider Consider donating to their charity.
