Stefanik stated to Fox News Digital, “This is the chance to save our state.”

Stefanik said Thursday’s rally “will be the biggest rally in upstate New York of the midterm election cycle,” with more than 1,000 people anticipated to attend.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul was leading in polls throughout, but Zeldin has narrowed the gap sufficiently that Democrats are now engaged. Americans are also watching closely in an increasingly competitive race, especially as Zeldin reaps the rewardsWith independents in the State.

“Many people feel that today’s far left radical Democrat Party has left them—these are families or individuals who have been registered maybe 20, 30 years ago as Democrats and see that those policies have failed over and over again in New York,” Stefanik said. “And we can’t keep going down this path towards radical policies.”

Every presidential election since 1988 has seen New York go blue. Since 1992, the Republican candidates have received less than 41% of state vote. George Pataki was the last Republican to win the governorship in this state. He won terms in 1994 and 1998, as well as 2002.

“People don’t feel safe, don’t feel safe in their homes, raising kids, or starting small businesses,” she said, pointing to Zeldin’s support among law enforcement and businesses in the state.

Stefanik explained that Zeldin will on the first day call a crime-emergency and fire Alvin Bragg as well as other district attorneys that do not prosecute criminals. “Governors have the authority to do that according to the New York State Constitution and for Lee Zeldin, that’s a major campaign promise.”

Stefanik stated that Zeldin also promised to “throwout bail reform and ensure that the New York State Senate, Assembly and Senate immediately go into session to repeal that horrible law.”

She said, “He strongly supports law enforcement, regardless of whether it’s the NYPD or country sheriffs throughout the state.”

Stefanik spoke out in favor of Zeldin, saying that he will “stop the pain from reckless spending.”

“New York State’s budget is more than the budgets of Texas and Florida combined, and those two states, individually, have more population than the state of New York, so, think about that fiscal irresponsibility that we continue to see in New York State,” she said. “Lee Zildin will control that,” she said.

She stated that Zeldin will “stop corruption that has been around for a generation” here in New York.

Hochul was called a “weak candidate” by Stefanik.

She said that Kathy Hochul really has struggled to unify Democrat Party.

Hochul was the lieutenant governor of former Gov. Andrew Cuomo was appointed to the helm in last year’s sexual harassment scandal.

“She is Cuomo 2.0, except worse, and that’s a pretty high bar to surpass because no one thought we could have a worse governor than Cuomo, myself included, and Kathy Hochul has somehow achieved that,” Stefanik said. “Kathy Hochul has the potential to reap the fruits of what she sows.”

NY GOVERNOR’S RANCH: ZELDIN CUTS INTO HOCHUL’S LEAD, GAINING Among INDEPENDENTS

“Lee is doing a great job to make sure that he wins by a margin that he needs in downstate, but it is really upstate New York that’s going to have to turn out huge to get this done,” she said. “My district, we’ve always had the highest congressional turnout, the last few cycles, of any congressional district in the state, and we’re going to work hard to do that again.”

Stefanik stated that she and Republicans “worked together to build a strong grassroots group.”
