Star Trek: Picard’s latest teaser highlights some unexpected camebacks

Star TrekShown offThe trailer for Season Finale of Picard at the New York Comic Con on Saturday, revealing some unexpected reappearances by legacy characters: hologram James Moriarty (Daniel Davis) and Data’s evil counterpart, Lore (Brent Spiner).

The trailer opens with Captain Jean-Luc Picard, played by Patrick Stewart, receiving a distress signal (Gates McFadden) from Beverly Crusher. This prompts him to join forces with his old friends. The Next GenerationWilliam Riker (Jonathan Frakes), Geordi la Forge (Levar Burton), Deanna Tri (Marina Sirtis) and Worf (Michael Dorn) are just a few of the many. Vadic, the villain that appears to be playing the role of Vadic, is at the center of all the trouble. Pulp Fiction’s Amanda Plummer.

The trailer’s final minutes are filled with terrifying scenes featuring Lore and Moriarty. This is the first time we’re seeing Spiner reprise his role as Lore, and it’s also the first we’ve seen (or heard) that Moriarty’s making a comeback in Picard. The final season Star Trek: PicardParamount Plus will broadcast the debut of this character in the US on Thursday February 16th 2023.

That isn’t the only Star Trek trailer revealed at this year’s NYCC. A trailer was also shown for the fifth season. Star Trek: DiscoveryBurnham (Sonequa Martin Green), Saru, (Doug Jones) and Tilly(Mary Wiseman) are the stars of. We don’t know when the new season will come out just yet, but it’s rumored to make its debut sometime next year.

Paramount Plus showed off a new trailer for midseason returns for animated Star Trek: Prodigy. Vice Admiral Janeway, played by Kate Mulgrew), continues the search for the USS Protostar ship. It was abandoned after being taken over by Dal (Brett Gray), Gwyn(Ella Purnell) and other young crew members. Paramount Plus will air the second half of the season on October 27th.
