Stanford soccer star, Stanford family, sues school

The family of Stanford soccer star Katie MeyerShe filed a wrongful Death lawsuit against the school, nine months after taking her own life.

Meyer’s family claims Meyer, who was 22, is not a member of their extended family. At the time of her passingOn February 28, I felt distressed by the school’s discipline for an incident six-months earlier.

Meyer is the suit Coffee on a football playerMeyer was allegedly sexually assaulted by Meyer’s co-workers at the school.

Meyer received a written notice informing her of her charges for violating the fundamental standard the day before she died, according the suit.

Steven Meyer and Gina Meyer claim their daughter was suffering from “an acute stress response that impulsively lead her to suicide”. Meyer was threatened with “removal” from the university, and she wouldn’t receive her diploma on-time.

Meyer’s parents claim in the lawsuit that Meyer was alone in her room and without support or resources when the notice arrived “after hours”.

“We’re just, we’re struggling right now,” Gina Meyer said March. “We are trying to understand what happened and how it happened. We’re just heartbroken, so heartbroken.”
