SpaceX’s Starlink internet is more costly and works with moving vehicles

The Starlink service available for usersThis allows you to stay connected even if you aren’t on the grid. However, it can’t be used while moving. SpaceX now has a Starlink version for RVs called Flat High Performance that can be used on moving cars. The only requirement is that you are willing to pay nearly five times as much to get the service.

Flat High Performance Starlink For RVs was made for in-motion use. The larger rectangular terminal can see 35 percent more skies than its standard counterpart. It has improved GPS capabilities that allow the dish to connect to additional satellites. This allows the Starlink internet to be connected even when a vehicle is in motion. The terminal has better weather resistance and can perform in hot and snowy conditions. The Flat High Performance dish can only be placed on the RV’s ground.

SpaceX has begun taking pre-orders in select markets for Flat High Performance and will begin deliveries in December. Its hardware kit (which includes the mount and dish) will cost $2,500. Standard Starlink for RVs requires an upfront payment only of $599. The standard Starlink for RVs service costs $135 per month, $25 more than regular Starlink connections. The service can be paused and un-paused at any time, so that you won’t be charged for the months you don’t use.
