Silent Hill is expanding with three new, vastly different games

Silent Hill fans: Hold on tight! Konami has released a lot of information about the future and plans for its horror franchise Silent Hill, as well as confirming long-rumored details. Remake Silent Hill 2The studio also revealed three new games set in the same universe. Silent Hill Townfall, AscensionAnd f. They all sound amazing and very different.

Townfall Annapurna Interactive and No Code are the two studios behind this video, which is known for its strong narrative skills as well as horror world-building in titles such As The End of the World. Observation And Stories Untold. This is the short teaser. TownfallIt features an old-fashioned pocket TV that clips through disturbing scenes and tense conversations.

Ascension This is the most game-like of the installments, but it has a big name attached: JJAbrams. It’s an interactive streaming series in which “the whole community shapes Silent Hill’s canon,” with the tagline “Face Your Trauma Together”. Ascension This is a collaboration between Abrams’ studio Bad Robot (created by Abrams) and Genvid (a company that creates interactive live shows). It’s described by Abrams as “a new form entertainment that mixes community, live storytelling, and interactivity.” Ascension 2023 is the expected release.

There’s also Silent Hill fThis game sounds like a great departure from the series. It’s coming from Ryūkishi07, a creator known for crafting acclaimed visual novels with psychological horror and supernatural mysteries at their core. The teaser video for fIt’s beautiful and horrifying, with a young lady being eaten from the inside out by the tentacles a flesh-eating plants. The teaser video on YouTube describes the game as “set in 1960s Japan with a beautiful, but terrifying world.” The video only gets bloodier as it goes, so dip out early if it’s making you squirm — or lean in and get a good look, you lovely freak. No word on the release date or platforms yet. f.

And that isn’t where Konami’s renewed interest in Silent Hill ends — alongside Bloober Team’s remake of Silent Hill 2, a new movie called Return to Silent HillChristophe Gans (director of the 2006 film adaptation) is currently working on it.
