Sylvester was difficult to adapt when he first moved in with his foster family. The timid kitten didn’t know who or what to believe. But all changed when he met Cooper, the family’s pug.
Sylvester immediately clung to Cooper, searching for comfort and consolation in his company. Cooper and I became close friends after we shared the same fears.
They are now inseparable.
“Sylvester was curious about Cooper from the beginning,” Jacky and Yeshi, Sylvester’s foster parents, told The Dodo. “Cooper, despite being much bigger, was so confused and not sure. For the first couple of days, Sylvester kept trying to get his attention, but it stressed Cooper out.”
Sylvester eventually won Cooper over. They now play together, run around and spoon each others whenever they get the chance.
“Sylvester and Cooper are inseparable,” Jacky and Yeshi said. “They spend all day long glued together. Sylvester waits at Cooper’s door to greet him when he walks outside. He also waits for him after his bath and joins him in the tub once we drain the water.”

Although they quickly became friends, Sylvester didn’t always have a companion like Cooper to look out for him. Mashaal Memom of Little Wanderers NYC took three weeks to find Sylvester’s pups after learning that Tweety, a stray cat, had given birth.
With a little love and tender care Sylvester became a loving bug. Cooper’s enormous heart was further emphasized when Sylvester was placed with him. While Sylvester’s mother and sister are looking for their forever homes, neither Sylvester nor Cooper are available for adoption.
“Daffy is obsessed with people,” Lisa Scroggins, cofounder of Little Wanderers NYC, told The Dodo. “Their mom, who is a kitten herself, is also available for adoption and while she is shy, she is timid and gentle like her son, Sylvester.”
Sylvester became a friend to Cooper, and the rescuers were thrilled. They hope the rest of Cooper will experience the same affection.
