Robinson, a 25 year-old woman from North Carolina, died while on vacation in San Jose del Cabo with six of her friends. While her friends claimed that Robinson died from alcohol poisoning due to her drinking, an autopsy determined that the cause of her death was a severe injury to her neck or spinal cord. Her death was being investigated as possible homicide by a prosecutor.
Daniel de la Rosa, attorney general for Mexico’s Baja California Sur, told CNNRobinson was killed in a car accident on Wednesday. The suspect in Robinson’s death was arrested by one of Robinson’s friends.
Her death was made public earlier this month when a video of her beating another woman, identified as Robinson, surfaced online. One woman is seen beating the other in the video, which appears to be inside the villa they stayed.
